Celebrate Easter & Passover with DC Restaurant Events & Specials:

It’s already Cherry Blossom season, and we’re still dealing with snow and ice, which all can only mean one thing… it’s time for a very Washington, D.C. Easter and Passover! Take a look at all of the restaurant specials, brunches and other events we’ve rounded up across the District.

Note: We’re only including special offerings. So, fear not, if your favorite bottomless brunch spots aren’t listed with an Easter brunch special, they’re likely still hosting their standard brunches.

1789 Restaurant (Easter)

Brunch will be served all day, from 10am to 7pm, on Easter Sunday at 1789 Restaurant. First and second courses are included in your entree price, ranging from $27 to $50. The Easter Bunny will also be on hand to deliver candy to the kids.

The first course menu will include Beef Tartar, Spring Pea Salad, and Mushroom Velouté. Main courses include options such as Pork Belly, Pain Perdue, Shrimp & Grits, and Duck Cassoulet. Dessert options, for $10, include, Lemon Meringue Angel Food Cake, the Chocolate Mousse Bombe, or the Almond Crème Brûlée.

701 Restaurant (Easter)

Visit 701 Restaurant for a 3-course prix fixe Easter brunch, available at $45 per person, and $22.50 for children 10 and under. Dishes include Golden Beets with cocoa crumble, kumquats, goat cheese, tamarind and vinaigrette; Carrot Salad with paneer, pumpernickel crumble, mint and turmeric honey vinaigrette; Skuna Bay Salmon with mustard spätzle, kale and pomegranate; Roasted Lamb Leg with fregola almonds, green Harissa and sheep’s milk yogurt, and Carrot Pasta with braised rabbit ragout, fennel pollen and ricotta salad.

For dessert, choose between special offerings such as the Buttermilk Panna Cotta with strawberries and Fig Vin Cotto; Caramelized Rice Pudding Tart with tropical fruit and chamomile sorbet, and Rhubarb Crisp with lemon curd ice cream.

America Eats Tavern (Easter)

America Eats Tavern is hosting an all you can eat Easter brunch. The runch will last from 10am to 3pm, and is priced at $45 per person.

The lineup includes freshly made doughnuts brought to your table, a ham carving and biscuit station, fresh seafood bar, jambalaya station, a dedicated cake table, a continental breakfast table with fruits, cheeses, and spreads, made to order omelets and eggs, and more. There are also a variety of entrees available as small plates to be picked up, including Shrimp ‘N’ Grits, Fried Chicken with “Cold Slaw,” Waldorf Salad, Mini Waffles, Eggs a la Benedick, Texas Chili Brisket, and Maple-Glazed Scrapple.

Blue Duck Tavern (Easter)

Blue Duck Tavern is serving a special Easter brunch, priced at $95 per person or $42 for children ages 6-12. The 3-course prix fixe menu includes your choice of starter, entrees and sides, and a selection of seasonal desserts on display in the pastry pantry.

Highlights include Belgian Waffle with rhubarb jam, candied pecans, fresh cream and tarragon; Duck Confit Hash with fried duck egg, spring garlic, pearl onions and smoked potatoes; Slow-Roasted Prime Rib of Beef served with horseradish sauce and natural jus; Poached Egg with white corn polenta, parmesan, truffles and English peas; and Oven Roasted Rabbit Sausage with piperade and house mustard.

BLT Steak (Passover)

For the 2nd straight year, BLT Steak is honoring Passover with modern takes on traditional Seder foods, available either as a prix-fixe menu or a la carte. The special dishes are available from Saturday, April 4th – Saturday, April 11th. Chef Will Artley will serve his takes on the classic holiday fixings, offered family-style

The 3-course prix-fixe costs $60 per person and includes Compressed Endive with apricot marmalade and sherry or 62 Degree Farm Egg with sunchoke, beet and horseradish; Lamb Shank with olive, oven dried tomato relish and mint pesto, or Black Sea Bass with cauliflower tabbouleh and green garlic; Braised Kale with mint-walnut pesto and shallots or Grilled Beach Mushrooms with sunflower root and thyme; and for dessert, either a Macaroon Plate, or Grilled Apple Cake with cardamom, citrus and mascarpone.

City Tap House (Easter)

In addition to their regular a la carte brunch menu, City Tap House will have some Easter specials, such as Chocolate & Caramelized Banana Crepes and House-made Ricotta served with grilled sourdough bread. There will also be a complimentary dessert buffet with a Chocolate Fountain and a selection of seasonal pastries. Plus, bring the kids and hang with the Easter Bunny, on hand to deliver candy.

Daikaya (Easter)

Daikya is celebrating all things egg for Easter this year. Come on down for a bountiful small plate brunch menu on Sunday, April 5th, with a range of classics spruced up with Japanese twists.

Highlights include Merengue with seasonal berries; Fried Jidori Egg with caviar and bottarga; Onsen Tamago Egg with hazelnuts, browned butter and dashi potato; an Ambrosia Salad, as well as Miso-Honey Glazed Carrots with rabbit sausage. There will also be a new specialty cocktail, available, the Sol Invictus,   made from a combination of Japanese whisky, Bénédictine, green chartreuse, egg yolk and Peychaud’s Bitters.

Dino’s Grotto (Easter & Passover)

Dino’s will be celebrating both Easter and Passover this year. For the latter, visit Dino’s for their Passover Feast, available from Friday, April 3rd – Friday, April 10th, at $59 per person and $25 for kids 12 and under.

The Passover Feast includes a trio of charosets, matzoh & horseradish, and a venetian inspired leek fritter. Next up is the Passover Trinity: chopped chicken Liver, made from scratch gefilte fish and matzoh ball soup.Entrees are chicken with tomato & spring garlic sauce, veal breast and fish of the day with three citruses. Last is a flourless almond cake, an Italian rendition of a traditional Sephardic cake. It’s all served family style for the table.

On Easter Sunday, Dino’s will be offering a 3-course prix-fixe menu for $39, available all day. The meal begins with a starter or pasta. Choose from dishes such as Local Spring Veggie alla Parmigiana, Border Springs Lamb Pasta, and Local Escarole & Mushroom Risotto.

From 12 to 4pm, brunch items like San Benedetto, Nutella Stuffed French toast and more substantial items such as Venison Steak will be available. For dinner, find Chicken with Tomato & Leek, Venison with Salsa Verde, Border Spring Lamb Shank, Fish of the Day with three citrus salsa and more. Finish with dessert plus a shot of house-infused limoncello, orange cello or grapefruit cello.

Eat The Rich (Easter)

Eat The Rich is offering a special 3-course prix fixe brunch on Sunday, April 5th from 11:30am to 4pm. The menu costs $45 for adults and $25 for kids, including tax and tip.

There will be a variety of brunch drink specials available as well. Tickets are needed to make reservations.

Et Voila! (Easter)

Et Voila! will be showcasing festive holiday specials in addition to their regular brunch and dinner menus. Brunch will be served from 11am-2:30pm, and dinner from 5 to 10pm.

Standouts include the Lobster Salad Liègeoise with small potatoes, fresh green beans, colonnata and Old Xérès sherry vinegar; Braised Lamb Shank with romaine, gnocchi and artichoke à la barigoule, as well as Skate Wing Meunière served with crushed potato and ramps. Of course, don’t pass up on the Chocolate Easter Eggs, featuring chocolate eggs made of brioche crumbs, warm chocolate foam and apricot gelée, served on a nest of rice cooked in milk and pistachio.

Graffiato (Easter)

Mike Isabella is serving up an Italian-inspired Easter brunch, with specials including a sweet pea frittata with crispy lamb, sweet corn johnnycakes with cracker jack butter and shrimp & grits with Italian sausage, old bay and hominy.

The Hamilton (Easter)

The Hamilton is serving their full brunch menu with additional Easter specials, available from 8:30am to 4pm. Highlights include Asparagus and Coddled Egg, Breakfast Sliders, Sautéed Calamari, Shrimp & Grits, Bangers & Mash, Roasted Artichoke Frittata, and the Breakfast Burrito.

The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photo ops and candy delivery. The Hamilton Live is also offering their Gospel Brunch on Easter Sunday, with performances at 10am, 12:30pm and 3pm.

Kapnos (Easter)

Visit Kapnos or Kapnos Taverna to celebrate both Western Easter on April 5th and Greek Easter on April 12th. You can also bring Greek Easter dishes home with you with special to-go menus.

J. Paul’s (Easter)

J. Paul’s is hosting an Easter brunch from 10am to 4pm. In addition to the regular menu, find standouts and specials such as Green Eggs & Lamb, with a pan seared rack of lamb served with a deep fried potato pancake, two over-easy eggs and chimichurri sauce. They’re also offering a complimentary dessert buffet featuring an array of treats such as cheesecake, brownies, rice krispy treats, a fondue station and Easter eggs.

Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab (Passover)

Joe’s is offering a 3-course traditional Passover meal for dinner on Friday, April 3rd or Saturday, April 4th. The menu costs $45.95 per person, and includes a range of authentic Passover choices.

Start with choices such as Gefilte Fish with red beet horseradish, Bibb Lettuce and Chive Salad with chopped liver and Suzy Friedman’s vegetarian chopped liver, and Matzoh Ball Soup. For entrees, chooseHerb Roasted Chicken, Braised Brisket of Beef or Wild Striped Bass en Papillote with zucchini, tomato and shallot, all served with Potato Pancakes and Ginger Glazed Carrots. Save room for Joe’s decadent Chocolate Macaroon Pie with coconut cream anglaise for dessert.

Lupo Verde (Easter)

Lupo Verde is celebrating the Italian holiday Pasquetta, or “Little Easter”, on Saturday, April 4th (although the holiday is typically celebrated the Monday after). Visit Lupo Verde from 12 to 6pm for wood fire grilled dishes exclusively available on the patio.

Dishes will include Slow Roasted Pork and Porchetta Panini; Homemade Apple and Pork Sausages; Domestic Lamb; Spinach and Anchovy Pizza, as well as Farmers Market Panzanella Salad and Homemade Pasta. Grab a plate of these delicious dishes for $25 per person.

Mon Ami Gabi (Easter & Passover)

Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda is hosting a traditional Passover dinner on Friday, April 3rd and Saturday, April 4th. The lineup will be featuring a Seder plate with matzo and a variety of Passover staples including matzo ball soup, homemade gefilte fish and braised beef brisket, and a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Dinner is served family style for $39.95 per person, available for both dine-in and carryout.

On Sunday, April 5th, Mon Ami Gabi is also offering an Easter brunch from 10am to 4pm.

The Oval Room (Easter)

Class it up for Easter Sunday brunch at The Oval Room. They’re offering a 3-course prix fixe for $55 per person, or $75 including wine pairings.

Dishes include English Pea Veloute, Hamachi Crudo, House-made Pappardelle with rabbit ragout, Lemon Ricotta Ravioli, Crispy Skin Salmon, Pan Seared Swordfish, and Roasted Leg of Lamb. For dessert, choose between the Frozen Local Strawberry Soufflé with basil and cracked black pepper, the Ricotta Bomboloni with lemon curd, burnt caramel and bourbon ice cream, or the Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse with coffee ice cream.

Ping Pong Dim Sum (Easter)

Check out Ping Pong Dim Sum’s East West Brunch, which costs $39 per person and features bottomless deconstructed mimosas, endless dim sum dishes, and your choice of entree. Come on Easter Sunday for their annual “mimosa dyeing party”.

New spring cocktails at the restaurants include the Here Comes Peter Cottontail, made for the kid in everyone, a blend of tart and fruity poured over rose cotton candy; the Carrot Top, a refreshing blend of lemon and basil; and the Peepin’ It Real, a tropical mocktail with pineapple, coconut and lime.

RareSweets (Easter)

For Easter RareSweets is offering special Chocolate Royal Iced Easter Egg Cookies for $2.50, as well as 6-inch cakes in Lemon Rhubarb and Coconut flavors, for $35 each, available with special order by March 30th.

Mini coconut cakes with cream cheese icing and coconut flakes on the outside will also be available in-store starting the last week of March, along with slices of Lemon Rhubarb cake made with lemon buttercream and rhubarb compote.

Rosa Mexicano (Easter)

Celebrate a Mexican Easter with brunch at Rosa Mexicano. The special menu will include brunch classics, and new dishes and drinks.

Try Huevos Rosa, with sunny-side up eggs, crispy tortilla and refried-chorizo beans, topped with roasted tomato-chipotle sauce; Fried Eggs and Carnitas Hash topped with fried eggs and pineapple-habeñero mustard jam; Mexico City Chilaquiles, featuring seared ham steak topped with scrambled eggs, corn tortillas and a creamy, smoky chile sauce; or the Torrejas de Miel Rellenas, with Cinnamon-Cascabel chile-crusted brioche bread filled with mascarpone and toped with caramelized plantains.

Pair your dishes with a Bloody Maria. The kids can even enjoy a Mex-a-Mango mocktail.

Second State (Easter)

Second State encourages you to wear your Easter Sunday best to brunch. Ladies who wear dresses and guys sporting jackets will receive a complimentary glass of either champagne or rye whiskey during either Saturday or Sunday brunch. On Easter Sunday, you can stay late for family dinner, with service until 10pm.

Slate (Easter)

Slate Wine Bar is offering a 4-course prix fixe on Easter Sunday, priced at $35 per person with optional wine pairings costing an additional $24. Start with your choice of steamed mussels, duck breast eggrolls or pan seared scallops; then either seasonal risotto, Chesapeake Bay lump crab cakes, roasted rosemary leg of lamb, or bistro filet; and then either Elizabeth’s Warm Fudge Brownie or Jorge’s Tres Leches.

Every dish comes with its own recommended wine. The meal will end with an assortment of Easter Treats, with Biutiful Sparking Rose from Requena, Spain.

Sonoma (Easter)

Sonoma is doing an all-day Easter brunch from 11am to 8pm. Enjoy a three-course prix-fixe for $49. Dishes include Warm Pea Soup, Roast Lamb Loin and Seasonal Berry Parfait.

Boost your holiday spirit with bottomless mimosas, as well as both red and white sangria, for $15.

Station 4 (Easter)

Throughout the entire month of April, chef Orlando Amaro is preparing a five-course tasting menu devoted to lamb, utilizing the entire animal from nose to tail. The prix fixe costs $75 per person.

Try dishes such as Colorado Lamb Tartar with sunchoke and mint; Lamb Tongue Tacos with Chermoula and honey; Lamb Kidneys with shallots, cream and preserved lemon; Lamb Belly Confit with spring peas falafel, yogurt, and quinoa tabouleh,as well as Marquez Sausage with pomme purée and spring lettuce.

Teddy & The Bully Bar (Easter & Passover)

Join Teddy & The Bully Bar for a $52 per person prix fixe Passover seder menu on April 3rd or 4th. The menu begins with Matzoh Ball Soup, and then your choice of second courses, with options such as Broccoli & Cheddar Latkes , Herring Brandade and Chicken Liver Stuffed Deviled Eggs. For your entree, chicken, salmon and braised brisket dishes. Finish with your choice of one of three dessert options, such as a Flourless Chocolate Torte.

For Easter brunch, Teddy & The Bully Bar is offering a $59 brunch menu, including two courses, endless carving bar, omelet bar and sundae bar stations, and endless sides. The menu is $21 for kids 12 and under, who also will receive an Easter basket.

Trummer’s on Main (Easter)

Trummer’s is celebrating the occasion with an Easter tasting menu available from 11am to 5:30pm. Enjoy a 3-course prix-fixe for $66 per person, or $30 for kids 12 and under.

Standouts include dishes like Bacon-Wrapped Rabbit Loin, Green Eggs and Easter Ham, Smoked Bucatini Carbonara Pasta, and Loin of Border Springs Lamb. Desserts include Fried Strawberry Rhubarb Pie and Carrot Pecan Cake.

Zaytinya (Easter)

Zaytinya hosts its 4th annual Agora on Sunday, March 29th, kicking off their spring festival with a Greek outdoor market event from 12 to 4 pm. The event features live music, Spartan warriors in costume, wine tastings, vendor booths offering Greek fare and products, and more. Stay for a meal and receive a complementary mezze.

Then, celebrate both Easter on April 5th and Greek Easter on April 12th with $35 prix-fixe brunch menus highlighting new spring dishes and beverages.  The menu welcomes the warm weather with classic Zaytinya dishes alongside springtime brunch items, including Spring Pea Tzatziki with pistachios, Greek yogurt and mint, Mayiritsa, a traditional egg and lemon soup with lamb neck, smoked lamb’s liver and caramelized onions, and Spit-Roasted Lamb Shoulder Hash with Cretan barley rusks, feta and avgolemono sauce.
