DC Harvest Set to Open on H Street

DC Harvest will open on September 2nd, as H Street gets yet another new exciting addition to their ever-growing lineup. DC Harvest is all about, well, the bountiful local harvest in and around the Washington, D.C. Metro area. All dishes will be based on locally available ingredients, and the menu will therefore be changing frequently from season to season.

Drinks will be local too, with recognizable area brands such as DC Brau, Port City, Flying Dog, Catoctin Creek and Don Ciccio & Figli. The food will be complimented with a “modern farmhouse” interior to set the tone.

The restaurant will be located at 517 H Street NE. For more information, check them out at dc-harvest.com. September 2nd is the soft open, and brunch will be added the following week.

Lobster ME & The Lobsicle – Lobster Popsicle

Lobster ME, a small chain currently based in Las Vegas, is coming to the Montgomery Mall. The quick service joint is all about lobster, and you’ll be able to find a variety of twists on the lobster roll, such as the Cajun, and El Diablo.

That’s great and all, but what has everyone excited is the “lobsicle”, a lobster popsicle. It’s a lobster tail served on a stick, optionally deep fried and batter dipped, or grilled.

Beyond lobster, Lobster ME will also showcase fish and chips, shrimp tacos, and soups served in bread bowls. They’re currently slated to open in October.

Macon Bistro is announcing a new Wine Salon series. Every Wednesday from 5 to 6pm, starting September 3rd and lasting all fall, guests can come to the bar and try a complimentary flight of 3 wines, along with complimentary hors d’oeuvres as well.
