The Chefs Behind Bars Cocktail Challenge Supporting No Kid Hungry:
The Chefs Behind Bars cocktail challenge is back, this year being held on Tuesday, June 14th at the DNV Rooftop. The concept is simple, but devious — take half a dozen acclaimed chefs, and force them to mix up a high-end craft cocktail for a change.
As a bonus, all proceeds from the event go to No Kid Hungry which means you even get to feel good about yourself for attending. And as a double bonus, your very own Man Talk Food will be serving as one of the judges. Let the chefs be warned, I’m ruthless.
Tickets cost $45 and are available here. The event lasts from 6 to 8:30pm on Tuesday, June 14th.
In addition to the Judges’ Choice award, attendees will also have a chance to have their voice heard, with a People’s Choice winner being selected based on cash tips provided during the event.
This year the confirmed competing chefs thus far are:
- Yo Matsuzaki (Zentan, DNV Rooftop)
- Jonathan Dearden (Radiator)
- Matt Adler (Osteria Morini)
- Ryan Hackney (Macon Bistro and Larder)
- Seng Luangrath (Thip Khao)
In addition to sampling cocktails from each of the competitors, DNV will also be providing bites from their Japanese street food-inspired menu.
