The Whisky Extravaganza is headed to Washington DC on Thursday, October 29th, at the JW Marriott on Pennsylvania Ave. It’s a massive evening of tasting high-end, premium whisky, and it’s hosted by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
You’ll get to taste over 100 fine whiskies throughout the evening – although we’ll leave it up to you whether you think you should really try that many of them. It’s a loaded lineup, and while the focus is on Scotch, expect to find premium whiskey offerings from across the world.
There will also be food available throughout the evening, premium cigars for later enjoyment, and all attendees receive a souvenir tasting snifter to take home. The event is also sponsored by Robb Report, so expect to get a magazine as well.
The event lasts from 6:30-9pm, and you’re invited to dress up for the occasion – a business casual dress code is enforced, with jackets preferred for the fellas. With an environment of premium whisky, epicurean food and fine cigars, you may as well look the part, too.
